Elements of Art

After completing the book cover. . .

Identifying the Elements of art in photography

  • Line: the path of a point
  • Shape: defined by borders
  • Space: arrangement of ojects on a plane 
  • Texture: Surface quality of an object, space
  • Color: Principle means of achieving variety, emphasis, emotion
  • Primary: red, blueyellow
  • Secondary: green, purple, orange
  • Intermediate: red-orange, yellow-orange, blue-purple, red-purple, yellow-green, blue-green      

Find two of each (below) in nature. For color find one of each. Shoot more than one shot. be creative!!!

  • Line - can be straight, broken, uneven
  • Shape - can be organic or geometric
  • Space - can be large or small
  • Texture - can be seen in a photo
  • Color - Find a primary, secondary and intermediate color

Remember:
  • Shoot using all options learned, macro, super-macro, photo mode settings, white balance, etc. . .
  • Edit as usual (CMYK, 300dpi, Color balance, save as name of element and jpg)
  • Create an Elements folder
  • DUE March 20th
